Coach Bolding: “Casey brings the complete baseball package to the ballpark this season. He is a bigger, faster and stronger player now, and should dominate in the cleanup spot in the free-swinging Longwood lineup. Defensively, he is brilliant, with no other Lancer, past or present, commanding a greater knowledge of the of the game than he. I would expect Casey to show awfully convincingly to the pro scouts. He registered a three for four night against the best pitching that the then #1 ranked Tar Heels could throw at him in 2009; and the best should be yet to come for Casey. Once again, Casey will serve his team as a captain in 2010.”
