2020-21: Starting guard who appeared in 23 of Longwood’s 29 games and started 20 of those…second-leading scorer at 11.2 points per game…added 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game while playing 26.8 minutes per contest…played the second-most minutes per game on the team…finished 14th in the Big South in scoring and 15th in made three-pointers per game (1.8)…shot .347 (42-of-121) from three-point range and .404 (88-of-218) from the floor…shot .769 (40-of-52) from the free throw line…contributed 22 assists…scored in double figures 13 times, including four of his final five games…scored a season-high 24 points against Gardner-Webb, knocking down 7-of-11 three-pointers (Feb. 11)..also had a 22-point outburst against Campbell in which he hit 5-of-7 three-pointers (Jan. 10)…shot .423 (11-of-26) from three-point range in a five-game span from Feb. 19 to March 4…registered a career-high four steals against Presbyterian (Jan. 29)…named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2019-20: Made an immediate impact in his first season at Longwood, averaging 7.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game…broke into the starting lineup on Dec. 7 against Morgan State and started 21 of the final 23 games of the year…scored in double figures 10 times, including a career-high 19 points that powered the Lancers to a 57-54 win over High Point on Feb. 22…shot .345 (40-of-116) from three-point range and was one of five players on the team to hit at least 40 three-pointers…also shot .762 (48-of-63) from the free throw line…averaged 23.5 minutes per game, fourth most on the team…ranked third on the team with 46 assists and 23 steals…nominated by head coach Griff Aldrich for Big South Defensive Player of the Year…posted a double-double against UC Riverside, scoring 12 points and grabbing a career-high 12 rebounds (Nov. 26)…scored in double figures four times against Big South foes…dished at least three assists six times, third most on the team behind only point guards Shabooty Phillips (20) and Juan Munoz (15)…swiped at least three steals three times and helped Longwood to a 3-0 record in those games…hit at least three treys six times, including a 4-of-6 shooting performance in the 57-54 win against High Point…saw 30 of his 46 assists lead to three-pointers…named to the Dean’s List in the spring.
2018-19 (East Carolina): Played in 22 games as a freshman at East Carolina…averaged 2.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 10.1 minutes per game…amassed 13 assists in the first five games of his collegiate career…in only his fourth collegiate game, scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds against Georgia Tech….scored six points on 2-of-2 shooting from three-point range in 12 minutes off the bench in his final game at Tulsa.
High School: Played at The Miller School in Albemarle County…earned VISAA Division II All-State first-team honors as a junior and senior…led Miller to the 2018 VISAA D-II State Championship in 2018, bookending a senior season in which he averaged 13.4 points 5.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game…that title run followed a runner-up performance in his junior season, during which he averaged 12.3 points, 4.3 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game…member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Son of Corey and Richel Turner…has three siblings: Brittany, Emerald and Cori...plans to major in business administration at Longwood.
