2016 (Senior): Ross heads into her senior season as one of the cogs in the Lancers midfield. The veteran will be one of the most experience Lancers on the field having started each of the 57 games in the past three seasons… very solid midfielder who breaks down the play well… good ball movement from the midfield… solid decision maker.

2015 (Junior): Started 17 of 17 games played, marking her third straight year of starting each game... logged 70.06 minutes per game to lead the team in minutes per game in back-to-back years... also added one assist on the year...  2015 ZAG/NFHCA National Academic Squad... MAC All-Academic Team... Longwood Scholar-Athlete...

2014 (Sophomore): For the second consecutive season, Ross started each game in the midfield for the blue and white. As a sophomore, Ross recorded four points including her first career goal and a pair of assists. The lone goal in her two years at Longwood came at Central Michigan. Ross played over 1,000 minutes as a sophomore, the most by any Lancer in 2014.

2013 (Freshman): Started all 22 games of her freshman campaign, recording a pair of assists.

High School: Four-year varsity team member at First Colonial and three-time All-Beach District First Team and All-Eastern Region First Team selection… Two-time First-Team All-Tidewater and First-Team All-State accolades… 2012-13 NFHCA South Region All-America Team honoree and Academic All-America Team member who totaled 10 goals and 14 assists as a senior… Ross helped lead her squad to two consecutive Virginia AAA State Championships and competed in the 2013 National Futures Field Hockey Championship… She also played four years of varsity soccer, twice earning All-Beach District honors in soccer.

Personal: Daughter of David and Kelley Ross. Ellen worked at a cleaning service during the summer of 2013 and is majoring in exercise science.
