2013 (North Greenville University): Appeared in 13 games and started eight as a true freshman at North Greenville University (S.C.) … finished 0-6 with a 7.83 ERA in 43.2 innings.

High School: Four-year letter winner at Harlem High School (Ga.) … went 8-2 with a 1.81 ERA with 92 strikeouts in 77 innings pitched as a senior … went 5-3 with a 3.16 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 62 innings as a junior … named all-state, two-time team MVP, two-time all-region, and two-time all-area … three-year letter winner in basketball … team capitan for baseball and basketball.

Personal: Born Allyn Tyler Wirsu on September 16, 1994 … son of Bruce and Laurie Wirsu … has five siblings, Laura, Joshua, Justin, Kathryne, and Ryan … Josh played at Georgia Southern University and Gordon State in college and currently plays in the St. Louis Cardinals minor league system.

Academics: Majoring in accounting.
