2016: Joined Longwood after three years at Volunteer Stats Community College ... limited to 23 games and 14 starts due to injuries ... hit .195 with one double and five RBI in 41 at-bats with 13 walks and six runs scored ... picked up first Longwood hit on two-run single with the bases loaded against Norfolk State (3/29) ... had a pair of multi-RBI games and one multi-hit game.

2015 (Volunteer State Community College): Played 27 games and hit .343 in 70 ABs with four doubles, one triple, five home runs, and 26 RBI … drove in 11 runs over final four games of season and hit .438 (7-16) with two home runs in that span.

2014: Did not appear in any games due to injury.

2013 (Volunteer State Community College): Played 31 games as a freshman … hit .302 with one double, eight homers, and drove in 26 runs.

High School: Five-year letter winner at Warren East High School … hit .280 batting average with a slugging percentage of .446 as a senior … as a junior hit .209 batting average with an on base percentage of .340 and a SLG of .442 … all-region and all-district in 2011.

Personal: Born Janos Maurice Briscoe on August 10, 1994 … son of Janos and Leslie … has three siblings, Justin Johnson, Keanna, and Rico … father was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 34th round of the 1994 MLB Draft out of Western Kentucky … works as a part-time police officer at the Gallatin Police Department (Tenn.) … volunteers with the Richardville Fire Department.

Academics: Majoring in criminal justice ... earned an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Criminal Justice Magna Cum Laude while at Volunteer State Community College.
