FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood Head Women's Soccer Coach
Todd Dyer announced the addition of eight newcomers prior to the 2026 soccer season.
Â
The incoming class features plenty of Commonwealth ties, as has been a tradition under Dyer and Associate Head Coach
Rich Stoneman.
Â
The coaching duo brought four transfers to Farmville:
Bailey Altizer (Mechanicsville, Va. | Eastern Kentucky/Mechanicsville High School),
Maddy Howells (Bristow, Va. | Texas A&M Corpus Christi/Brentsville District HS),
Brooke Owens (Virginia Beach, Va. | VCU/Kellam High School), and
McKenna Vogel (Farmville, Va. | Campbell/Prince Edward High School).
Â
In addition, the Lancers welcome four freshman who signed in November to Longwood: Izzy Anson (Encinitas, Calif. | San Dieguito Academy),
Brynn Clagett (Frederick, Md. | Oakdale High School),
Taylor Martin (Evansville, Ind. | FJ Reitz High School), and
Addie Russell (Rocky River, Ohio | Rocky River High School).
Â
"This group is pretty unique in that it's a 50-50 split between four freshman and four transfers," said Dyer. "That combination should offer a good mix of new energy, talent and experience. That's exactly what we need after graduating such a deep and impactful senior class this past spring. Our goal is to remain relevant in the top group of our conference, and I think we've built another roster that can do that."
