CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Longwood junior forward Frances Ulysse has been named Big South Player of the Week in women's basketball, the league announced Monday.
Ulysse averaged 17 points, nine rebounds, one steal and one assist per game in a 2-0 week for the Lancers. She collected her second double-double of the season with a carer-high 21 points and 10 rebounds as the Lancers beat Radford, 88-73, in overtime at home.
She shot 5-for-8 from the field and 11-of-12 from the foul line with an assist, a block and a steal as the Lancers won in OT for the first time in seven years
The Montréal, Québec, native added 13 points, eight rebounds and a steal to beat UNC Asheville, 72-60, at home, on Saturday, also going 5-of-8 from the floor in Longwood's fourth straight win.
In 23 games this season, all starts, Ulysse is averaging 10.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
The weekly honor is the second of Ulysse's career. She was also named Big South Co-Player of the Year on Nov. 18 2025. Ulysse is the third different Longwood player to be named Player of the Week this season, joining Malea Brown on Jan. 12 and Otaifo Esenabhalu on Dec. 22.
Longwood (17-6, 8-2 Big South is back in action Wednesday at High Point at 7 p.m., on ESPN+.
