THE OPENING TIP
•    Longwood begins its second of three two-game road swings in Big South play with trips to Gardner-Webb and Winthrop.
•    The Lancers also played back-to-back games at High Point and UNC Asheville and also have a back-to-back trip to Presbyterian and Charleston Southern later in February.
•    The team only has two sets of back-to-back home games.
•    Longwood is tied with Presbyterian and UNC Asheville for fourth in the Big South standings. All three are tied at 4-5 in league action, and they are all two games back of Radford in third place.
•    In nine league games, Longwood has the second-best scoring defense, giving up only 72.1 points per game.
•    Offensively, Elijah Tucker leads the team at 13.2 points per game in Big South play, and he is averaging 12.3 points per game on the season.
 
LAST TIME OUT
•    Longwood's defense was solid against High Point, but the Lancers had a second-half rally come up short against the preseason favorite on Saturday in a 71-59 loss.
•    The Lancers held HPU to a season-low 71 points, but the Panthers returned the favor and forced 18 Longwood turnovers.
•    Terry Anderson led all scorers and scored 20 of his 22 points after halftime to help the visitors keep Longwood at bay. Four other players joined Anderson in double figures.
•    Redd Thompson Jr. and Johan Nziemi combined for 28 points, with the bulk coming in the second half as the Lancers rallied to cut a double-digit deficit to five points multiple times.
•    Emanuel Richards also had 10 points for Longwood.
•    However, HPU turned Longwood's 18 turnovers into 19 points the other way to offset 12 offensive boards for Longwood.

•    The Lancers are the only team in the Big South to have three sets of back-to-back road dates in league play. No other team has more than two.
•    Longwood is in the midst of its second stretch that sees it play three road games in a four-game stretch in league action.
•    The Lancers will also host ESPNU when the team takes on UNC Asheville on Thursday, February 12, marking the third straight season, and fourth time in five seasons, that Longwood has hosted ESPN in Farmville.
•    Longwood ranks third in the Big South in field goal percentage, shooting .464 on offense.
•    That shooting has carried over to the foul line, where Longwood is shooting a league-best .755 on the season.
•    The Lancers are also second in the league in rebounding margin at +5.3, behind only Winthrop.
•    Longwood grabs 11.9 offensive rebounds per game, a mark that ranks third in the Big South.
•    The Lancers are 10-7 this season when winning the rebounding battle.
•    In league play, Elijah Tucker leads the Lancers with 8.4 rebounds per game.
•    Longwood has outscored its opponents by 107 points in the first half, and the Lancers are 11-1 when leading at the half.
•    Six times this season, Longwood has held its opponent to 25 points or less in the opening 20 minutes.
•    In Big South play, Longwood has also held its opponent to fewer than 30 points in the first half five times, and the team is 4-1 in those games.
