• Longwood's defense was solid against High Point, but the Lancers had a second-half rally come up short against the preseason favorite on Saturday in a 71-59 loss.
• The Lancers held HPU to a season-low 71 points, but the Panthers returned the favor and forced 18 Longwood turnovers.
• Terry Anderson led all scorers and scored 20 of his 22 points after halftime to help the visitors keep Longwood at bay. Four other players joined Anderson in double figures.
