FARMVILLE, VA. – Longwood cross country celebrated Senior Day Friday at the Lancer Pink Invitational, sweeping the team titles in the women's 5K and men's 8K at home. The women's team finished first with 21 points, placing five runners in the top seven, while the men claimed the 8K title with 27 points and five runners in the top eight. Junior
Sophie Farley led the women's field with a winning time of 17:51.1, while junior
Andrew Hathaway paced the men with a third-place finish in 26:14.0.Â
NOTABLE RESULTS:
The Longwood women claimed the team title with 21 points, finishing ahead of Southern Virginia (44), VCU (83), N.C. Central (106), Elizabeth City State (135) and Chowan (157).
Farley led the Lancers individually, winning the women's 5K in 17:51.1. Sophomore
Sydney O'Hara-Wood followed in third at 18:44.6, while senior
Sam Bolen finished fourth in 18:47.4.

Priscilla Keller placed sixth in 19:00.7, and junior
Kirsten Morley rounded out Longwood's scoring five with a seventh-place finish in 19:16.6.

Madison Davis finished ninth in 19:24.6, followed by Freshman
