HOW IT HAPPENED:
Â
Wake Forrest struck early into the match. Just two minutes in, Mia Schoenbeck found the back of the goal with the help of Mia Montag and Florence Tuthill.Â
Â
However, a determined Lancer defense kept the score there, holding their ACC foe to only one goal in the opening 30 minutes.
Â
In the third quarter, Wake Forest's Lauren Storey hammered home two unassisted goals to start to provide some separation, and Lena Keller added one as well.
Â
The fourth quarter, the depth of the 20
th-ranked team in the nation showed through, as the Deamon Deacon lead grew to close out the match.
