FARMVILLE, Va. — Longwood Director of Tennis Charlotte Clarke announced the signing of Nicole Di Bisceglia for the 2025-26 women's tennis team on Thursday.
Di Bisceglia, a native of Rome, Italy, will join the Lancers as a freshman in the fall.
"We are so excited to welcome Nicole Di Bisceglia to Longwood," Clarke said. "She plays with an aggressive mindset and isn't afraid to take control of points early. That kind of fearless tennis is exactly what we're looking to add to our lineup. Nicole's commitment to Longwood follows a strong international junior career. The process of getting to know Nicole has been incredibly enjoyable. She has been invested from the start and shows real belief in our vision and values. Her drive, personality and competitive fire will fit right in with the culture we're continuing to shape. We can't wait to have her on campus."
Di Bisceglia won 179 competitive matches in her four-year high school career at ITC Ferdinando Magellano. In 2023-24 as a junior, she won a career-best 65 times, lowering her Italian Tennis Federation ranking to 2.7.
This past season as a senior, Di Bisceglia again lowered her ITF number to a career-low 2.6 while helping the school to the 2025 Provincial Student Championship title.
