TOWSON, Md. --Â A multi-pronged attack by Towson women's lacrosse took down Longwood 22-2 on Tuesday afternoon.

Valerie Thompson, Savannah Safchuck and Katie Roszko combined for 10 goals for Towson, which was enough to overpower the Lancers.

Bailey Stratton had the goals for the Lancers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Thompson and Roszko each scored twice in the opening quarter for Towson to give the home side an early lead.
Â
Rumbaugh put Longwood on the board in the first quarter with her seventh goal of the season, trimming the lead to 6-1.
Â
However Towson controlled the pace of play from there on out, extending the lead to double figures early in the second quarter on Thompson's third goal of the game.
Â
Stratton tallied her sixth goal of the season in the second quarter for Longwood.
