THE OPENING TIP
•    Longwood returns home for the first of two home games when it hosts Presbyterian on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
•    The game is sponsored by The Bank of Charlotte County.
•    The Lancers play three of their final five games at home to close the regular season, with Presbyterian, Gardner-Webb and Winthrop all coming to the Joan Perry Brock Center.
•    Longwood is in sixth in the Big South standings, half a game behind both Radford and Charleston Southern, with five to play. Longwood split the season series with Radford and CSU.

•    Longwood battled back after falling behind at the half at High Point on ESPNU on Thursday night but ultimately fell 83-72.
•    The Lancers, who were missing multiple rotation players and saw Colby Garland go down with an injury late in the first half, sliced a 21-point High Point lead to seven multiple times after halftime.
•    Kyrell Luc epitomized the gritty comeback effort with repeated fearless drives to the rim en route to 20 points to go with four assists and five steals.
•    Elijah Tucker added 14 points, Angelo Brizzi had 13, and Garland finished with 10 (all in the first half).
•    Kezza Giffa and Kimani Hamilton each had 18 points for High Point, while D'Maurian Williams chipped in 15 points.
