FARMVILLE, Va. – Five women's soccer players and two men's soccer players have been named to the 2025 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Soccer Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced today.
Men's soccer had three representatives earn a spot in defender

Max Hinke and midfielder
Ezrah Serralde.
Women's soccer goalkeeper
Sara Curtis, defender
Remi Siner, forwards
Karleigh Minson and
Emma Jones and midfielder
Claire Schultz have all earned their place on the team.
In order to be eligible, student-athletes must compete in at least 90 percent of the team's matches or started in at least 66 percent of those matches and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average.
Curtis, a graduate student studying business administration has a 4.00 GPA while playing a total of 1716 minutes this season. Curtis was named the Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year this fall while also earning a spot on the Big South All-Tournament Team after leading the Lancers to seven shutouts this season, five of which were against Big South opponents. Curtis was also named to the Big South Second Team and All-Academic team.
Siner, a sophomore studying business administration, has a perfect 4.00 GPA and has played in 18 of 19 matches this season, tallying 598 minutes of play. She had one goal and three assists while serving as part of a potent Lancer press in the midfield.
Jones, a senior English major has a 3.99 GPA and started in every match this season. She played 1,288 minutes as both a winger and defender, and she had one goal and two assists on the year. Jones was named to the Big South midseason watchlist on Sept 18.
Schultz, a senior Graphic and Animation Design major has a 3.92 GPA and played in all 19 matches, starting in 13 with a total of 808 minutes. She had a pair of goals to go with one assist while helping give Longwood an effective high press at the top of the formation.
Minson, a senior Business Administration major has a 3.90 GPA and has started 18 of 19 matches and tallied 1,099 minutes of play this season. She had two goals and one assist from her spot in the midfield.
The third-seeded women's soccer team advanced to the Big South semifinals for the first time since 2021, finishing 9-7-3 overall.
For the men, Ambaek battled an injury during the season but started 11 times and played in 12 matches. A team captain, he played 926 minutes while recording one assist on the season. He was a Big South All-Academic Team honoree while holding a 3.86 GPA.
Hinke posted a 3.91 GPA while making 10 starts with 11 appearances on the season in goal for the Lancers. This is his second-straight season earning CSC Academic All-District honors, and he was a member of the Big South All-Academic Team in 2024.
Serralde played in all 16 matches as a midfielder for the Lancers, and he scored two goals and three assists. He holds a 3.74 GPA and had points in his final three matches of the season.
