FARMVILLE, Va. — Alejandro Uribe won at No. 3 singles over Cambell's Lukas Steffen, but the Camels prevailed for a 6-1 men's tennis decision over Longwood at the Lancer Courts Friday.
Uribe won, 6-4, 3-6, 7-5, in the final match to finish on the day.
Campbell improved to 6-5 on the season with the dual-match victory. Longwood (3-3) pushed four separate singles matches to three sets in the loss.
Damien Nezar topped Timeo Puech, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 1, Benjamin Maes beat Petar Belosevic, 6-0, 5-7, 6-3 at No. 2 and Pol Odin beat Luis Reis, 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 5.
In doubles action, Nezar and Mats beat Puech and Reis, 6-1, on court one, Steffen and Tomas Balazi beat Belosevic and Uribe, 6-2, at No. 2 and Noe Macquart and Otis defeated Seva Rusin and Lorenzo Meschini, 6-1, at No. 3.
The Lancers are back in action Sunday at Norfolk State. First serve is 2 p.m.
