KENNESAW, Ga. - Longwood dropped two on the road in a double header at Kennesaw State. Timely hits for Kennesaw (6-5) allowed for the Owls to hold off the Lancers (6-4) late.
Drew Camp and
Noah Campanelli were able to help the Lancers keep both games within a run with their performance at the plate, combining for a .466 average on the day.

Game 1: Kennesaw State 5, Longwood 4
The Lancers struck first in game one when Longwood executed double steal with Campanelli and Camp on first and third. Campanelli stole second, and Camp raced home for a 1-0 lead in the second inning.
Hayden Harris poked an RBI single in the third for a 2-0 lead, and
Willie Havens added an RBI single in the fourth to help Longwood build a 4-0 lead.
Meanwhile,
Brenton Fisher threw well on the mound, with four strikeouts in two innings in the seven-inning contest.
However, the Owls exploded in the bottom half of the fifth, scoring four of their own runs to tie the game. Brayden Eidson hit a two out RBI single in the sixth that plated the go-ahead run.
Andrew Potojecki (0-1) would take the loss for the Lancers, throwing while Ryan Renfroe (2-0) received the win for Kennesaw State.
Game 2: Kennesaw State 2, Longwood 1
In game two hits were hard to come by early as there were only four hits between the two teams through the first four innings.
Ethan Walker threw 3.2 innings for Longwood with six strikeouts. He would get into some trouble in the bottom of the fourth loading the bases, but
Wyatt Bunch came on in relief and fanned the lone batter he faced to keep Kennesaw State off the board.
In the sixth, Kennesaw State struck first, scoring on a balk.
Longwood had a chance to answer in the seventh with two on and one out, but the Owls evaded the timely hit.
Kennesaw State was able to add an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth which proved to be critical.
The Lancers loaded the bases in the top of the ninth, and
Casey Gibbs drew a walk to plate Camp and cut the lead to 2-1.
Bo Rhudy (2-0) earned the win for Kennesaw State on the mound, and Hudson Mimbs got the save.
Dallas Hairfield (1-1) took the loss for Longwood.
