GREENVILLE, N.C. – Senior right fielder
Kayley DeVivi sent a 3-2 pitch over the right-field wall for a three-run, walk-off blast, capping an 8-0, five-inning victory over Fairfield at East Carolina's Max R. Joyner Family Stadium Saturday.

DeVivi's second homer of the season helped the Lancers (2-7) to a split on day two of the Pirate Clash after Longwood fell 6-2 to Marshall to open the day. DeVivi went 2-for-3 in the nightcap, adding a two-run ground-rule double in the bottom of the second inning to get the scoring started.

Korynna Anderson, who scored on both Devivi hits, went 2-for-2 herself with a walk and RBI for her first multiple-hit game of the season.

Right-hander
Maggie Chapin (2-3) went the distance in the circle, scattering three hits and a walk, while fanning five batters in 70 pitches.

Lauren Fox and
Sophia Knock picked up the Lancers' other two hits in the win. Fairfield fell to 0-4 as the Stags' starter Alyssa Weinberg (0-2) was knocked out after two innings, surrendering three runs on three hits and two walks.

In the opener, Knock hit her second home run in as many days in the first – a two-run shot to left field – but Marshall scored six unanswered runs to earn its second consecutive come-from-behind victory.

Savannah Rice (3-2) twirled Marshall's second straight complete game, limiting Longwood to four hits and two walks while striking out three in 82 pitches.

Fox led off the game with a four-pitch walk, and with two out, Knock took an 0-1 offering out to left for the lead.

Marshall (5-3) cut the lead in half in the bottom of the inning as Sydney Bickel singled, advanced to second on an error and stole third before Rielly Lucas scored her with a sacrifice fly.

Bickel tied the game, 2-2, on a second sac fly with one out, scoring Kasia Parks, who walked and stole second and third.

Knock started the fourth with a single to moved to second, but the Lancers we unable get pinch runner
Peyton Coleman in from third with two out. The Thundering Herd took the lead in the bottom of the inning when Brooklyn Ulrich laced a one-out double to right field to score Abby Darnley.

A Lucas RBI groundout and Bella Gerlach sac fly pushed the lead to 5-2 for Marshall in the fifth. MU tacked on one more in the sixth for the final margin.

Er'ron Burton (0-3) started and took the loss in the circle, allowing six hits and five runs in four innings, giving way to
Cierra Gawryluk for the final two.

Knock went 3-for-3 with a run scored and two batted in to lead the Lancers. Bickel and Ulrich had two hits apiece and Lucas drove in two for Marshall.

Longwood faces host ECU for two Sunday beginning at 12:30 p.m.
