FARMVILLE, Va. — Longwood senior goalkeeper
Max Hinke has been named to the 2024 Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team®, as selected by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday.
To be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the team's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of those matches and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average.
Hinke, a Marpingen, Germany native, carries a 3.818 grade-point average in business administration.
He made 17 starts, playing 1,510 minutes, and was 5-9-3 overall. He finished with a 2.27 goals-against average, an .689 save percentage and 89 saves.
Hinke, who was the Lancers' representative on the Big South All-Academic Team this season, also posted one shutout on the season.
Fifth-seeded Longwood advanced to the Big South semifinals for the first time since 2016, finishing 5-10-3 overall.
