Meghan Mitchell was a catalyst for Villanova, with the forward accounting for two goals and three assists for the home side.
Â
The first quarter was tight, with Villanova posting three shots to Longwood's two. The Lancers couldn't find the back of the cage, and Mitchell did for a 1-0 lead.
Â
However, the Wildcats created separation with a three-goal second quarter that paved the way for the final mark. Mitchell had a hand in two of the three goals.
