FARMVILLE, Va. – Kids from the ages of five to 12 have a pair of opportunities to learn baseball fundamentals from the coaching staff for Longwood baseball. The Lancers are hosting two youth baseball camps at their home field, Buddy Bolding Stadium, in June.

The first camp will run from Monday through Thursday, June 12 to June 15, and it will be in the morning from 9 a.m. to noon.

The second camp comes a week later, June 19-23, and it too will be in the morning from 9 a.m. to noon.
Â
Both camps are open to children ages five to 12 years old, and the cost is $135. Campers will develop hitting, fielding and throwing skills under the tutelage of the Lancer coaching staff. The camp will include instruction portions specifically designed to touch on proper defense and hitting and throwing routines as well as mechanics.

Each day, the camp will end with a game between campers as well to provide an opportunity to put the learned and acquired skills into practice.

Campers are encouraged to bring a snack or lunch as there will be a designated mid-camp break to eat. In addition, campers are encouraged to bring a water bottle. Camp staff will provide refill stations throughout the day.
