Longwood Beats North Carolina Central 6-1 To Bring Record Back To .500

Lancers claim seventh victory of the season in win over Eagles

The Longwood men's tennis team overpowered North Carolina Central University 6-1. The victory marks the Lancer's second in a row, and brings their record back up to .500

Doubles
 North Carolina Central's (3-13) freshman Oliver Saarinen and senior Sebastian Pino took down Lancers (7-7) freshman Luis Reis and graduate Rosen Naydenov 6-2 in No.2 doubles. Freshmen Nikhil Kulkarni and Yoav Weinberg gave Longwood their first point with a 6-2 win in No.3 doubles. Senior Guillermo Cagigas and junior Ernest Rocabert clinched the doubles point in thrilling fashion after a 7-5 win that saw them comeback from 5-4 down, in No.1 singles
Singles
Clark defeated Naydenov in No.1 singles to claim the lone Eagles point of the afternoon. Jourdan Kast and Rocabert won in straight sets over Sebastian Pino and Baran in No.2 and No.3 singles, respectively. Weinberg and Luis Reis claimed victory in No.5 and No.6 singles over Cristellotti and Gilchrist, respectively in straight sets as well. In No.4 singles Cagigas rallied from behind to force, and win, a tiebreaker over Oliver Saarinen.
