FARMVILLE, Va. – With the men's basketball season officially here, the Lancer Central crew had a chance to take a look at the upcoming edition of the Longwood men's basketball team.
 
Sam Hovan, the Voice of the Lancers, sat down with two of the team leaders in guard DeShaun Wade and forward Zac Watson to chat about the upcoming season.
 
The duo explain what they are both looking forward to and how much different it is playing against someone other than your teammates every day. Plus, they dive into what fans can expect to see on the floor as well as how this edition of the Lancers is growing closer together every day.
 
In addition, Lancer Central looks back to last season and highlights some of the top basketball plays from one season ago in the latest edition of the Top 6.
 
Lancer Central is filmed, edited and produced by Liam Wells, Will Johnson, Kris Bryant and Trevin Bowles along with fellow Longwood University Communication Studies students. The show is filmed inside the department's state-of-the-art production studio in French Hall. Lancer Central is a collaborative effort between the Communication Studies program and Longwood athletics. Under the direction of Department Chair and Associate Professor Jeff Halliday and Broadcast Studio Managing Engineer Clint Wright, students produce Lancer Central biweekly.
