The Opening Tip

  • Longwood is back for their second consecutive Big South Conference game inside Willett Hall as the Buccaneers of Charleston Southern University made the 408 mile trip to Farmville.
  • The Lancers' four-game winning streak came to an end Monday night against Campbell University. The streak of four wins was the longest winning streak for the program since February 2008.
  • A 2-1 start in Big South Conference play has the Lancers off to their second-best start in conference play.
  • Longwood swept the weekly awards from the Big South Conference for the second time in program history. Senior Dayna Rouse was named Player of the Week for the second time this season and freshman Kyla McMakin earned her fourth Freshman of the Week honors.

Last Time Out
  •  Despite three Lancers reaching double-digit point totals led by Senior Dayna Rouse's 17-point showing, Longwood fell to the Fighting Camels of Campbell University, 70-55.
  • Freshman Kyla McMakin and Anne-Hamilton Le- Roy joined Rouse in double-figures. McMakin finished with 15 points, and LeRoy found success from behind the arc, shooting 3-of-4 from behind the line, contributing to her performance with 12 points.
  • Longwood finished the contest without a Lancers scoring 20 or more points, breaking a streak of eight games with a Lancer scoring 20 points or more.

By the Numbers
