The Opening Tip
•    In the second of back-to-back road games in the Palmetto State, Longwood faces Presbyterian on in a showdown of two Big South teams looking to jump above .500 in conference play.
•    At 2-2 each, Longwood and Presbyterian are engaged in an early dogfight for a spot in the top half of the Big South standings. Only a half game separates both teams from a jump into the league's top four.
•    Longwood is in the midst of its most successful 19-game start of the Division I era, amassing a 12-7 record that is the program's best since the 2000-01 season.
•    The Lancers have won two of their past three road games, including a 75-61 upset over Big South powerhouse Winthrop this past Wednesday. 
•    Within the past two games, senior Isaiah Walton scored his 1,000th career point and grad student Damarion Geter recorded his 100th career block.

Last Time Out
•    In a milestone victory that was the program's first over Big South powerhouse Winthrop for any player on the roster, Longwood rode a season-high 30 points from Isaiah Walton and put together a dominant defensive performance to stun the Eagles 75-61 on their home court Wednesday evening at Winthrop Coliseum.
•    Walton hit a career-high 12-of-21 field goals, Damarion Geter racked up four blocks, three steals and 10 rebounds, and the Lancers shut down the Big South's highest-scoring offense on the road.
•    The Eagles entered the game unbeaten in the Big South, 6-1 at home and averaging a conference-best 88.2 points per game, but the Lancers held them to their fewest points of the season as well as a season-low .270 field goal percentage.
•    Longwood allowed Winthrop just three layups and one dunk all night.
•    JaShaun Smith added 12 points and three blocks.

•    Following Longwood's 75-61 win at Winthrop Wednesday, the Lancers are now 6-1 in games following a loss. Longwood has lost back-to-back games just once all season.
•    Longwood has held four of its past five opponents under 30.0 percent shooting from three-point range.
•    Two Lancers have hit major milestones in the past two games, as Isaiah Walton scored his 1,000th career point against Charleston Southern on Jan. 12 and Damarion Geter recorded his 100th career block against Winthrop. 
•    Walton has scored at least 20 points in back-to-back games, including his second career 30-point game Wednesday against Winthrop.
•    Walton has scored at least 20 points in seven of his 11 games, leading Longwood to a 6-1 record in those outbursts. 
•    Geter is only the fourth player in school history to record 100 career blocks. He is the first to reach that mark since Maurice Sumter did it in 2007.
•    Geter is just 33 rebounds away from becoming only the seventh player in school history to grab at least 600 career rebounds, and only the third to reach 100 blocks and 600 rebounds. 
•    Of the 18 new head Division I coaches who inherited teams that won single-digit games last year, only Griff Aldrich and Pitt's Jeff Capel (12-5) have winning percentages above .500.
•    Aldrich is one of only 17 new head coaches this season with a winning record.
•    Longwood's bench has contributed 27.2 points per game, or 38.1 percent of Longwood's total scoring.
•    Shabooty Phillips and Jashaun Smith are the only two Lancers to have started every game.
•    Phillips has hit a three-pointer in all 19 games this season.
•    Smith leads Longwood with 12 dunks this season.

Series History
•    Longwood and Presbyterian meet for the 12th time in a series that began when the Lancers first joined the Big South in 2012-13.
•    Presbyterian owns an 8-3 advantage in the series and has won three straight, dating back to the final meeting of the 2016-17 season.
•    Second-year Presbyterian head coach Dustin Kerns won both matchups during the 2017-18 season, his first at the helm of the Blue Hose.
•    Longwood's last win over Presbyterian also came that season, a 79-76 victory on Jan. 4, 2017.
