The Opening Tip
•    The Lancers open their sixth postseason as a member of the Big South Conference Tuesday when they face No. 7 seed High Point in the championship tournament's first round in High Point.
•    Longwood, owner of the No. 10 seed, faces a three-game climb to reach the Big South Championship game. A win over High Point would send Longwood to a quarterfinal date at No. 2 seed Radford on Thursday.
•    Only five active players on Longwood's roster have played in a Big South Championship game before: Dominic Ezeani, Damarion Geter, Chris Shields, JaShaun Smith and Isaiah Walton.
•    Damarion Geter has the most Big South Championship experienced of any Lancer, having played in four postseason games during his five-year career. All of those games took place in 2013-14 and 2014-15, and all of them were starts.

Last Time Out
•     Radford showcased one of the deepest benches in the Big South, riding 44 points from its reserves to take down Longwood 70-47 in the regular-season finale Saturday afternoon in Willett Hall.
•    Caleb Tanner led that charge off the bench, hitting five three-pointers en route to a game-high 15 points. Reserve Leroy Butts IV also scored in double digits, adding 11 points and seven rebounds to spoil the final home game for Longwood seniors B.K. Ashe and Charles Glover.
•    Ashe and Glover stepped off Jerome Kersey Court for the last time with under four minutes to play in the game, but their 15 combined points did little to overcome Radford's team-wide effort.
•    The Lancers entered the game averaging seven three-pointers per contest but went cold from long range early, missing their first 13 treys and finishing 2-of-18 from beyond the arc for the game.

By The Numbers
•    In the first two matchups this season, redshirt junior forward averages 12.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game, all team highs. He has scored in double figures in both games.
•    Geter is also 11-of-12 (.917) from the field in those matchups. He hit his first 11 field goal attempts in those two games this season before missing for the first time with 3:49 left in the second matchup on Feb. 22 in High Point.
•    Longwood is 4-5 in the Big South Championship tournament in five seasons as a member of the conference. The Lancers are 3-4 under head coach Jayson Gee.
•    Longwood is 3-2 in the first round of the Big South Championship. The Lancers have moved into the quarterfinals in three of the past four seasons.
•    The Lancers have had at least one 20-point scorer in six consecutive Big South Championship games.
•    Longwood seniors B.K. Ashe and Charles Glover are nearing the end of a nearly five-year-long college career together. Both were part of the same recruiting class at Mount St. Mary's where they played together from 2013-16. Ashe transferred to Longwood before the 2016-17 season and sat out a year, and Glover followed him to Farmville this year as a graduate transfer.
•    Ashe and Glover combine to average 21.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game this season. Both are ranked in Longwood's top three in scoring, assists and steals.
•    Ashe, who hit his 200th career three-pointer two games ago, surpassed 1,400 career points in his last game.
•    On the season, forward Damarion Geter leads Longwood with a 1.4:1 assist-to-turnover ratio. The 6-8, 235-pound "point forward" averages 2.0 assists per game and has the second most assists on the team this season.

Series History
•    Longwood and High Point will meet for the third time this season and second time in less than a week Tuesday in the first round of the 2018 Big South Championship. High Point leads the all-time series 23-8.
•    High Point won the first two matchups this season, 75-55 on Jan. 21 and 75-56 on Feb. 22.
•    High Point is 11-1 against Longwood since the Lancers joined the Big South in 2012-13. High Point is 1-0 against Longwood in the Big South Championship.
•    Longwood and High Point's lone meeting in the Big South postseason came in 2016 when the No. 1 seed Panthers knocked Longwood out of the tournament in the quarterfinals, 89-78, on March 4, 2016.
