The Opening Tip
•    The Lancers hit the road Sunday to face Winthrop in the first of their final two regular-season road games. Longwood follows with another road game at High Point the following Thursday before returning to Willett Hall on Feb. 24 to host Radford in the regular-season finale.
•    Winthrop, tied with UNC Asheville for first place in the Big South, will be the fifth consecutive team in the league's top six Longwood has faced. Longwood has faced UNC Asheville, No. 4 Liberty, No. 5 Campbell and No. 6 Charleston Southern in the past four games.
•    The Lancers are looking for their first win over Winthrop since 2012-13, Longwood's first year in the Big South.
•    Longwood teammates and cousins B.K. Ashe and JaShaun Smith are the only Lancers to have played in all 28 games this season.

Last Time Out
•    Four players in double figures, led by 11 second-half points each from Cortez Mitchell and Travis McConico, pushed Charleston Southern past Longwood 77-65 Thursday night in Willett Hall.
•    Mitchell finished with 17 points, six rebounds and three steals and was joined by Christian Keeling (15), Travis McConico (14) and Jordan James (10) in double-figure scoring.
•    The tandem of Mitchell and Keeling scored 12 of Charleston Southern's final 14 points and combined for 19 points in a second half that saw the Bucs overcome a 33-31 halftime deficit.
•    Charleston Southern overcame the eighth 20-point game of the season from Longwood guard Isaiah Walton, who scored a game-high 24 points. B.K. Ashe added 14 points, and Damarion Geter racked up his second double-double of the season with 10 points and 14 rebounds.

By The Numbers
•    Despite missing five games due to injury earlier this season, Isaiah Walton has already racked up eight 20-point games. That ties Khris Lane (2016-17), Lotanna Nwogbo (2015-16) and Tristan Carey (2012-13) for Longwood's third most 20-point games in a season since the Lancers joined the Big South. Only Carey (14 in 2013-14) and Quincy Taylor (9 in 2014-15) have logged more 20-point games since Longwood joined the Big South.
•    Thursday against Charleston Southern, Walton scored the 800th point of his career. He has scored all 808 of his points in just two seasons at Longwood and is on pace to become the 22nd 1,000-point scorer in Longwood men's basketball history. He would be the ninth player in the Division I era to reach that mark.
•    Walton has scored in double figures in 20 of his 23 games this season and in 42 of his 53 career games at Longwood.
•    Walton is shooting .878 (79-of-80) from the free throw line this season, which ranks fourth on Longwood's single-season list.
•    Forward Damarion Geter is in the midst of the most productive stretch of his career, averaging 10.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game over his past nine games. Geter has scored in double figures in six of those games and is shooting .610 (36-of-59) from the floor during that nine-game stretch.
•    On the season, Geter leads Longwood with a 1.42:1 assist-to-turnover ratio this season. The 6-8, 235-pound "point forward" averages 2.1 assists per game and has the second most assists on the team this season.
•    Geter ranks second among Big South forwards in assists per game, trailing only Winthrop's Xavier Cooks, who averages 3.6. Geter and Cooks are the only players 6-foot-8 or taller ranked among the Big South's top 40 in that category.

Series History
•    Longwood and Winthrop meet for the second time this season and 13th time in series history Sunday in Rock Hill, S.C. Winthrop leads the all-time series 10-2.
•    Winthrop took the first meeting this season 95-78 in Farmville on Jan. 24 behind 26 points from Xavier Cooks. The Eagles outscored Longwood 54-34 in the second half to overcome a 44-41 halftime deficit.
•    Longwood is 1-9 against Winthrop since joining the Big South in 2012-13.
•    Longwood's fourth-year team captain Damarion Geter has the team's most experience against Winthrop, playing in five games against the Eagles during his five seasons as a Lancer.
