The Opening Tip
•    Playing their second game in less than 24 hours, the Lancers return to the court Wednesday to face Delaware in a 3 p.m. matchup at the UNCG Spartan Classic. The game will be Longwood's second on the road this season.
•    Longwood went to battle without the Big South's second-leading scorer Tuesday night against UNCG, as Isaiah Walton (22.7 ppg.) did not play due to injury. Walton is questionable for Wednesday afternoon's game against Delaware.
•    Longwood had six players out due to injury Tuesday against UNCG, including Walton and key forward Jahleem Montague. Montague  is also questionable for Wednesday.
•    Following the back-to-back road games, Longwood will return to Willett Hall to play three straight home games, all against non-DI foes.

Last Time Out
•    UNCG got 16 points from Francis Alonso and a 10-point second half from Marvin Smith to turn the tables on short-handed Longwood after halftime and pull out a 71-40 win Tuesday night at the UNCG Spartan Classic at Greensboro Coliseum.
•    Alonso hit three three-pointers to propel the Spartans to their fourth straight win. He drilled two of those treys and scored 10 points in the first half before passing the baton to Smith, who scored all 10 of his points in a lopsided second half.
•    Longwood played without the Big South's second-leading scorer Isaiah Walton and key forward Jahleem Montague due to injuries.
•    In Walton's absence, B.K. Ashe went off for a 17-point first half. However, UNCG's SoCon-leading defense shut out Ashe in the second half and held Longwood to just 11 points.

By The Numbers
•    Longwood had six players out due to injury Tuesday night against UNCG, including leading scorer Isaiah Walton and projected starting point guard Juan Munoz.
•    Walton has two 20-point games this season, including a career-high 32 points against Columbia on Nov. 14. Walton ranks among the Big South's top 10 in points (22.7), steals (2.3), field goal pct. (.469), free throw pct. (.875), three-point pct. (.471), made three-pointers (2.7), blocks (1.0) and minutes per game (32.3).
•    Damarion Geter has nearly doubled both his career scoring and rebounding averages this season. The fourth-year team captain is averaging 8.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game through his first three games compared to the 2.1 points and 3.8 rebounds he averaged entering this season. Geter suffered back-to-back season-ending injuries in 2015-16 and 2016-17, limiting him to just three games during that span.
•    Geter has scored at least eight points in three consecutive games. He is shooting .800 (12-of-15) from the field this season and has made more shots than he has missed in every game.
•    B.K. Ashe, a 6-1, 160-pound guard, has three career double-doubles, including a 17-point, 10-rebound outburst against Columbia on Nov. 14.
•    Pro-rated over 40 minutes, forward Jahleem Montague would average 10.6 points, 12.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 blocks per game this season.
•    Longwood played a pair of freshman for 20-plus minutes apiece Tuesday night, as Kamil Chapman scored seven points across 20 minutes and Jordan Cintron grabbed a career-high five rebounds across a career-high 23 minutes against UNCG.
•    Chapman has played at least 20 minutes in back-to-back games, averaging 10.5 points per game during that stretch. Chapman is Longwood's fourth-leading scorer with 6.3 points per game.
