The Opening Tip
• Longwood concludes its regular season with an afternoon game Saturday, as the Lancers look for the season sweep at Charleston Southern.
Emily Nylen has become a force for Longwood on the defensive end of the floor, as the 6-5 sophomore is third in conference play with 2.00 blocks per game.
Raven Williams is one of two players in conference play to rank among the top-10 in the league in points (4th), assists (6th), steals (5th) and minutes played (2nd).
• Longwood will be the No. 10 seed in next week's VisitMyrtleBeach.com Big South Tournament. The Lancers will play against Gardner-Webb Tuesday, March 3 at noon. The two teams split the season series.

Last Time Out
• Longwood led by as many as 11 points midway through the second half, but Presbyterian rallied to force overtime and ultimately take a 36-32 victory Saturday afternoon inside Willett Hall in the final home contest of the season for the Lanc­ers.
• The performance was the best defensive effort of the season for the Lancers, as the blue and white held Presbyterian to its fourth lowest scoring output of the season of 36 points.
• Longwood forced 26 Presbyterian turn­overs, which marks the second time in the last four games the squad has forced 25 or more turnovers.
• Meanwhile, the 32 points from the Lanc­ers is the fewest for the squad since scor­ing just 26 points against then-No. 3 Notre Dame on Dec. 22, 2011.

By The Numbers
• Longwood has been successful shoot­ing the three this season, as the Lancers have made at least four three-point field goals in each game they've played. Long­wood hit a season-high 11 three-point field goals at Presbyterian
• The Lancers have played a total of five schools from a power five conference this season — Wake Forest, Florida, Vir­ginia Tech, Virginia and Clemson. The five games against the power five is the most of any team in the Big South this season.
Raven Williams and Kyndal Skersick have been Longwood's top threat from beyond the arc this season, as both play­ers are ranked sixth in the conference with 1.50 treys per contest.
• Williams is one of two players in confer­ence play to rank among the top-10 in the league in points (4th), assists (6th), steals (5th) and minutes played (2nd).
Emily Nylen has climbed into the top 10 in blocked shots in the Big South this season. Nylen is sixth in the league aver­aging 1.59 blocks per game and is fourth in conference play with 2.00 blocks per game.
Brenna Robbins has come alive on the offensive end of the floor, as she has scored in double figures in five games this season, including a career-high in three straight games. The sophomore scored 12 points at Presbyterian in the first meeting between the two schools.
• Junior Deborah Headen has scored in double figures in 13 games this season, as she is Longwood's third leading scorer since Daeisha Brown's injury.
• Longwood named three players team captains — senior Rianna Frazer, junior Deborah Headen and junior Raven Wil­liams.

Scouting Charleston Southern
• Charleston Southern will host senior day, as Saturday's game marks the regular season finale for both squads. The Buc­caneers come into the game on a sev­en-game losing streak and a 5-23 overall record to go along with a 1-18 ledger in Big South play.
• The Buccaneers fell in overtime in their last game Tuesday in overtime against Presbyterian, 56-48.
• Saturday's contest will feature the top two three-point shooting teams in the Big South this season. The Lancers lead the league in three-point field goals with 6.57 per game, while Charleston Southern is second with 5.36 treys per contest.
• The Lancers provided an all-around team effort in the first matchup with five play­ers finishing the game in double figures to earn a 79-71 victory over Charleston Southern inside Willett Hall on Jan. 24.
