BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Longwood University women's basketball team will play a pair of Big South Conference road games this week. The Lancers will first travel to Campbell University for a 7 p.m. tilt on Thursday, January 30 in Buies Creek, N.C. before visiting Coastal Carolina University at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 1 in Conway, S.C. Both contests will be streamed live via the Big South Network.
Looking at Longwood
Longwood is currently 6-14 overall this season, including 3-8 in Big South Conference action, after dropping a pair of league games last week. The Lancers faced a 74-41 setback on the road against in-state rival Liberty on Jan. 23 before dropping an 81-65 decision against High Point at home on Jan. 25. Through 20 games, sophomore

Khalilah Ali/Suffolk leads the Lancers on the boards with 6.5 rebounds per game, while Brown adds 4.9. As a team, Longwood is shooting 34.1% (400-1174) from the floor, including 26.2% (116-443) from beyond the arc, and 67.3% (216-321) from the foul line.
Scouting Campbell
The Fighting Camels are 12-8 so far in 2013-14 and 7-4 in Big South play. Campbell secured a 75-61 road win at Radford on Jan. 25 and a 77-74 overtime victory against Winthrop on Jan. 23 to bring their current win streak to three games. CU, under the direction of 33rd-year head coach Wanda Watkins, is led by Roslyn Presley with 13.4 points per game. Kiera Gaines adds 12.1 points per game, while Jessica Moore totals 8.9. Gaines paces the squad on the glass with 9.0 rebounds per game, as well. As a whole, the Fighting Camels are shooting 41.1% (465-1131) from the field, including 34.7% (121-349) from three-point territory, and 65.1% (241-370) from the foul line.
Scouting Coastal Carolina
The Chanticleers own a 10-10 overall record in 2013-14, including a 6-5 mark in Big South games. CCU split its two most recent decisions, defeating UNC Asheville, 75-65, on Jan. 30 before falling at Winthrop, 90-61, on Jan. 25. The squad will host Liberty on Jan. 30 prior to welcoming Longwood on Feb. 1. Coastal, under the direction of Jaida Williams in her first year, is led by AJ Jordan and Angelica Henry with 15.8 and 14.2 points per game, respectively. Jordan also paces the team on the boards with 7.3 rebounds per game. CCU is currently shooting 40.6 (530-1307) from the floor, 34.0% (109-321) on three-point opportunities and 72.2% (273-378) from the foul line.
Series History
Thursday's contest will mark the 12th meeting between Longwood and Campbell in the sport of women's basketball, while Saturday's match will be the sixth time that the Lancers have faced off against Coastal Carolina. The Fighting Camels lead the all-time series against Longwood, 7-4, including a 74-55 victory in their most recent meeting on December 30 in Willett Hall. The Lancers, however, hold a slight, 3-2 edge all-time against the Chanticleers, despite falling, 83-53, when they last faced off on Dec. 28.
