BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Longwood University women's basketball team is set to square off against Big South Conference opponent Campbell University on Saturday, February 2 in the league's “Game of the Week” on ESPN3. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Fightin' Camels' Gore Arena in Buies Creek, North Carolina.

The Lancers will look to get back on track at Campbell after falling, 66-62, at Coastal Carolina University on January 31. Through 21 games,

Chelsea Coward|Mechanicsville is second on the team with 15.4 points per game. Coward leads the team with 8.5 rebounds per game, as well. Freshman
Daeisha Brown|Richmond rounds out the double-digit scorers for the Lancers with 12.7 points per game. As a whole, Longwood is shooting 37% (482-1297) from the field, including 29% (138-470) from three-point territory, and 69% (269-390) from the free throw line.
Scouting Campbell
The Fightin' Camels, who are 13-8 overall and 4-5 in the Big South, dropped a 78-56 decision against Liberty University on Jan. 31 in their most recent outing. Campbell, under the direction of 32nd-year head coach Wanda Watkins, is paced by senior Tonisha Baker with 14.1 points per game. Sophomore Kiera Gaines has added to the offensive effort with 10.8 points. Gaines has a team-best 7.6 rebounds per game so far this season, as well. As a squad, the Lady Camels are shooting 41% (526-1276) from the floor, 37% (105-284) from beyond the arc and 72% (265-368) from the line. When Campbell and Longwood met earlier this season, the Lancers earned a hard-fought, 77-75 victory on Jan. 17.
