EARLYSVILLE, Va. -- Junior
Brittany Foote/Goshen, New York ran a 6K time of 23:45 on Friday to lead Longwood University women's cross country to a 37th place finish with 1,188 points at the 2013 NCAA Southeast Regional hosted by the University of Virginia at the Panorama Farms in Earlysville. The host Cavaliers won the race with their 57 points, while Emily Stites of the College of William and Mary was the individual winner with her time of 19:57. Longwood completed its season with the regional competition.

Foote finished 199th overall among the 265 runners, and was followed by junior
Elisabeth Drake/Hayes (25:10, 253rd), sophomore
Emily Krause/Fredericksburg (26:49, 259th), senior
Emberli McGann/Stuarts Draft (30:08, 264th) and junior
Hanna Sacks/Fairfax (30:29, 265th). Foote's time ties for the seventh-fastest 6K in the program's history.
Longwood could return as many as eight letterwinners for 2014.
