FARMVILLE, Va. – The Longwood University men's basketball home game against visiting Charleston Southern University this Saturday afternoon, January 12, at 2 p.m. will televised exclusively on ESPN3 as part of the new Big South Conference Saturday “Game of the Week” package.  It will be the first-ever ESPN Production of a home intercollegiate sports event on-campus from Willett Hall.  The North Division Lancers (3-13, 0-2 Big South) and South Division-favorite Buccaneers (7-6, 2-0 Big South) meet in the second of eight weekly games featured in the conference package.  The voice of the Big South, Matt Hogue, will handle the play-by-play and former college basketball assistant coach Nate Ross (Appalachian State, The Citadel) will serve as the analyst for the Big South contest.

“ESPN3 is a fantastic platform to showcase Longwood University,” said Director of Athletics Troy Austin.  “The ESPN brand is often recognized as the worldwide leader in sports and Longwood fans will be able to take advantage of the opportunity to tune in from afar. It will also provide Longwood supporters with a chance to show their Lancer spirit to a national audience.”
