Longwood Head Coach

Last Time Out
Longwood dropped a 65-64 road decision at NJIT (2.5).  The Lancers and Highlanders were tied at 33-33 at halftime, and the closely-played game witnessed seven ties and 17 lead changes throughout.  LU?took its final lead at 64-63 on a three-point field goal by Martiz Washington with 9.7-seconds remaining before NJIT scored with just 1.2-seconds on the clock.  Following timeouts by each team, Antwan Carter threw a perfect length-of-the-court inbounds pass that found its way over top several players on each team near the foul line and into the hands of Durann Neil who was alone under the basket, but his attempt at the buzzer was too strong (and it would have counted).  Carter finished with game-highs of 29 points and 11 rebounds to lead Longwood.  David Robinson was the only other player to reach double-figure scoring with a career-high 12 points off the bench for the Lancers, including 4-5 on three-point field goals.  LU shot 41.8% (23-55) from the field, including 28.6% (6-21) on three-pointers, and 60.0% (12-20) at the free throw line.
