BD: Why did you choose to play basketball?
RW: Well I’ve been playing basketball since I was seven. I didn’t really like it at first. I just did it for fun, but my dad passed away when I was eleven and he played basketball so I just kept going.

BD: Why did you choose Longwood?
RW: I like the campus. It’s not too small, but it’s small enough, and I knew we were going to be in the Big South Conference for the first time, so I thought that was exciting.

BD: How do you feel about the team’s performance so far?
RW: We’ve been playing really well and I really believe we can win the Big South Conference Tournament.

BD: What has it been like to see action in every game as a freshman?
RW: It’s fun, it’s exciting. I just go in the game and do as I’m told.

BD: What advice would you give to a young aspiring basketball player?
RW: Just work hard and don’t ever give up.

BD: What has been your favorite road trip so far?
RW: Arizona, before Christmas, because that was my first time going. It was fun.

BD: What is it like balancing Division I athletics and academics?
RW: It’s a struggle, but it’s worth it.

BD: Do you have any role models?
