FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood University sophomore field hockey forward Jessica Diaz|Chesapeake (Western Branch) is this week's Longwood Female Athlete of the Week. Through three games last week, Diaz led the team with 10 points. She registered two goals and added an assist to total a career-high five points in the team's first win of the season against Ball State on September 9. On September 8, she tallied a team-high three points with one goal and one assist at Miami (Ohio). In the squad's first game of the week on September 5, she scored the Lancers' lone goal in a 2-1 loss against VCU. She also garnered Northern Pacific Field Hockey (NorPac) Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week accolades for this week. Diaz is currently first on the team with five goals and two assists for 12 total points.
