FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood University freshman field hockey forward Jennifer Burris|Virginia Beach (Kempsville) is this week's Longwood Female Athlete of the Week. She currently leads the Lancers with two goals and five points after scoring the first goals of her collegiate career in a pair of home games last weekend. She found the back of the cage for the first-time ever in a Lancers jersey on August 31 against William and Mary before following up with a second goal against No. 5 Duke on September 2. She has registered five shots, four of which have been on goal, in 169 minutes of action. Burris has started all four of the Lancers games so far this season.
