FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood University senior Nicole Segala/Williamsburg has been named the Longwood Female Athlete of the Week.  A fifth-year member of the field hockey team, she started all three matches at last weekend’s Northern Pacific Field Hockey Conference (NorPac) Tournament and helped the Lancers to a pair of victories and a third-place finish.  A defender, Segala made two defensive saves during a 2-1 triumph past Pacific University in a quarterfinal contest on November 7, and played a key role during a 2-1 win past UC Davis in the third-place match on Nov. 9.  Nicole started 36 of 60 career matches with one goal and four defensive saves, and was a 2013 Longwood Scholar-Athlete Award recipient.
