Greek Life Spirit Challenge
Offical Rules

Overview:

This program will be designed to strengthen ties between Longwood Greek Life and Longwood Athletics. Based off a Percentage-Base system, the best-attended Greek Chapter of the Year will receive an opportunity win the final prize and bragging rights for the next year.

How it Works:

Longwood Athletics will have designated games called the “Greek Life Spirit Challenge” in which Greek chapters will be able to attend athletics events by signing in under the Greek Life Roster and cheering on their Lancers. Chapters in attendance will be recognized over the PA announcements and will be giving opportunities to promote their philanthropies prior to select athletic events.

At the end of the event Athletics Marketing will calculate and record who all attended the game and the updated scores will be posted on the Longwoodlancers.com and the Longwood Univeristy Fraternity and Sorority Life Facebook page so chapters will be able to track their points throughout the school year.

Scoring System:

Every athletic event is worth 5 points.

If there is 100% attendance= Double Points
If a chapter promotes the game/event via Facebook and/or Twitter= 1 Point
If a chapter promotes any other “Non-Greek” athletic event via Facebook or Twitter= 3 Point
35% of chapter MUST be in attendance to be awarded points
Designated athletic events will be worth Double Points
If a member is removed from a sporting event= Loss of Points determined on individual case basis

Prizes:

1^st Place- Speaker System
2^nd Place- Cornhole Set
3^rd Place- Longwood Athletic Koozies
Winning Chapter per Game: Donation to Philanthropy from Lancer Lunatics

Updates:

Standing Updates that will be posted via Social Media and the Longwood Athletics website. This will allow chapters to see where they fall in the standings.
