FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood University Interim Director of Athletics Troy Austin announced on Friday the resignation of women’s basketball head coach Pamela Bass to pursue another coaching opportunity at Colgate. Bass had been with the school and women’s basketball program since last May, coaching the Lancers to a record of 8-21 during her one year (2006-07). Austin indicated that Longwood would immediately begin a national search for a new head coach of the women’s basketball program.
