Joseph Kaminski

Joseph Kaminski re-joined the Longwood University athletic department in September of 2016 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing Operations. He had previously served as the Athletic Events and Game Operations Manager from October 2014 through July of 2015.In between his time in Farmville, he had worked as the Assistant Director of Championships with the Southern Conference in South Carolina. In his current role, Kaminski will oversee marketing, game operations, ticketing, corporate sponsorship inventory and fulfillment while assisting with fundraising events and sales.

Prior to his first stint at Longwood, Kaminski spent nearly three years as the Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities and Operations at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in south Texas. The previous academic year, he worked as the Football Operations and Championships Assistant at the Mid-American Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.

Preceding the MAC, Kaminski spent a year as the Athletic Facilities/Game Operations Graduate Assistant at Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va., from 2008 to 2009, followed by a stint as the Athletic Facilities/Game Operations Manager at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio from 2009 to 2010.

Kaminski has volunteered and assisted with numerous events in professional and collegiate sports including the NHL’s Inaugural Winter Classic, an NFL AFC wild card game, U.S. Youth Soccer Regionals, The Corpus Christi Challenge men’s college basketball tournament, the second annual Big Ten Conference Football Championship Game and numerous other conference and NCAA championship events.

Joseph, originally from Camillus, N.Y., graduated from Medaille College in Buffalo in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management where he was a four-year member of the baseball team. He followed that with a Master of Science in Adult and Technical Education from Marshall University a year later and has since completed coursework towards an M.B.A.
