Dr. Phil Miller joined the Longwood athletics department in October of 2019 as the Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities & Event Management.
At Longwood, Miller is a member of the athletics department's external relations unit and oversees the operation of the Lancers' athletics facilities and game operations.Â
A 2010 graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Miller boasts a decorated resume that includes master's degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (M.S. in Sports Management) and Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania (M.S. in Criminology) and a doctorate from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (Ed.D. in Educational Leadership & Administration). Dr. Miller completed his doctorate in December of 2020.
Miller also boasts nearly a decade of experience in college athletics spanning the Division I and Division II levels. He began his career as a graduate assistant with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania football program in 2011 and went on to hold facilities and game operations management positions at John Carroll University, East Stroudsburg and Bucknell. At Bucknell, he served as assistant athletic director for operations and events, overseeing game operations 25-sport athletics department.
