Claudia Wellman enters her second season as Director of Creative Content for the Longwood women’s basketball team in 2025-26.
In her first year, Wellman was part of a Longwood team that went 22-12 overall, tying for the best record in its Division I history and advancing to the Triple Crown Sports Postseason WNIT.
Prior to her time on the women's basketball staff, Wellman spent two years as an intern and content creator in the Lancers’ athletics communications department, while also working as a camera operator for Longwood ESPN+ productions.
Wellman, a native of Richmond, Va., was the social media manager for the Lancer Lunatics, Longwood’s student fan group, in 2024, and part of the Alpha Sigma Alpha public relations team from 2022-23.
She also has experience as a Social Media Digital Sales Coordinator with BrittMerl Production, from 2017-22, orchestrating marketing plans and launching ads to ensure optimal engagement in selling Adobe Lightroom presets.
Wellman earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies with a concentration in digital media in 2024 and MBA with a marketing concentration from Longwood in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
