Longwood University Athletics

2017-18 (Freshman): Finished her freshman season tied for the most wins on the squad with an 11-9 record...went 8-3 at the fifth flight...led the team in Big South Conference wins...finished the season on a 7-4 stretch including a 6-2, 6-2 win in the Big South Conference opening round that sparked a Lancer comeback win...Longwood Scholar-Athlete.

High School: Before her time at Longwood, Skalda played Landesliga for her German team, going unbeaten…she also comes to Longwood as a top-10 player in the state of Bavaria, a top-100 in Germany and top-900 in Europe in her age circuit…Tanja also has experience as a volunteer with Animals in Need when she lived in Spain taking care of abused and injured cats, dogs, horses and other such animals and pets.

Personal: Daughter of Stephan and Sibylle Skalda…has three older siblings (Maria – 30, Alexander – 30 & Katharina – 27)…majoring in biology.
