2015-2016: Logged in a singles record of 6-14 playing at No. 2, winning 3 out of her last 10 matches (Chowan, N.C. Central and George Mason) ... finished with a 9-10 doubles record at No. 2 alongside teammate Mason Thomas, winning 5 out of their 10 last matches (George Mason, N.C. Central, Presbyterian. Chowan and Norfolk State). 

2014-15: Ascended to Longwood’s No. 2 singles slot as a sophomore and spent the entire season there…finished 5-18 overall but picked up four of those wins in her final 10 bouts…included in those victories over the stretch run were wins against St. Joe’s, Norfolk State, Chowan and Delaware…paired with senior Nicole Parker to form Longwood’s No. 2 doubles pairing…those two went a combined 8-12 while playing every match at No. 2…won five of their final nine bouts.

2013-14: Played at No. 4 singles as a freshman, logging a 4-10 record … logged spring wins at Chowan (April 23), Gardner-Webb (March 22), Radford (March 26) and Western Carolina (April 11) … the Gardner-Webb and Radford wins were back-to-back, straight-sets victories … paired with fellow freshman Paloma Alatorre in the spring to form Longwood’s No. 2 doubles set … the group logged victories at Chowan (Feb. 23) and Norfolk State (April 1) … also played doubles in the fall alongside team ace Malin Allgurin and grabbed two wins …  a Longwood Scholar-Athlete.

High School: Four-year standout at McLean … qualified for Virginia Group AAA State Tournament in singles as a senior … Northern Region and Liberty District runner-up in singles as a senior … All-Met honorable mention by The Washington Post as a senior … three-time All-District in singles and doubles as a freshman, sophomore and senior …  team MVP and team captain as a sophomore, junior and senior … Liberty District doubles champion as a sophomore … Liberty District singles runner-up as a freshman and sophomore … two-time All-Region in doubles as a freshman and sophomore …  All-Region in singles as a freshman.

Personal: Daughter of Diane Carsten-Pelak and Steve Pelak ... father played tennis at Kalamazoo College … brother (William) played tennis at Wabash College … worked at the McLean Club teaching tennis during summer 2013.

Academics: Majoring in liberal studies.
