Biography

131592017: Named team captain for the second straight year...labeled by the coaching staff as a "real 'blue-collar' player"...possesses tremendous drive and work rate at all times...blessed with good instincts, timing and courage in the penalty area...a motivated teammate who will do whatever it takes to help her squad...missed the 2015 season with a knee injury, as well as portions of the 2016 season during her recovery...a vocal leader for the team in all facets of the program.

2016: Appointed team captain as a junior…made two starts while appearing in nine games and totaling 249 minutes on the pitch...playing time was limited while recovering from a knee injury she suffered as a sophomore in 2015…took two shots, both on goal...recorded a season-high 42 minutes against Marshall (08/26)…sidelined for aforementioned knee injury after game against St. Francis (09/18)…a Longwood-Scholar Athlete…named to the Big South Presidential Honor Roll.

2015: Tore her ACL in the preseason opener against East Carolina and missed the remainder of the season following surgery…started that game against East Carolina before going down in the 19th minute…named a Longwood Scholar-Athlete…also appeared on the Big South Presidential Honor Roll.

2014: Made an immediate impact as a freshman, starting 11 games while appearing in 18...scored four goals and dished out an assist for nine total points over 907 minutes on the pitch...led the BIg South with a .789 shots on goal percentage...took 19 shots, the fifth-most on the team, while putting 15 on goal...scored against No. 3 Virginia Tech (9/9), becoming only the third player in the country to find the back of the Hokie net to that point in the season...scored four goals in her first six games of the season...scored in back-to-back games against American (8/22) and Richmond (8/24), and again against Virginia Tech (9/9) and Saint Francis (9/13)...added an assist in a 3-3 tie against Presbyterian (10/16)...sank the game-winner in the 3-1 win over Saint Francis.

High School: Four-year team member at W.T. Woodson…team captain junior and senior year…2nd team All-Met junior and senior year…Patriot district player of the year and 1st team all-region senior year…2nd team all region junior year…leading scorer her sophomore, junior (12) and senior (15) seasons…also three-year member of the track and field team at Woodson…ran the 4x400 meter relay senior year and the 500, 300m junior year.

Personal: Born Teresa Carmen Fruchterman on September 15, 1995…daughter of George and Celia Fruchterman…has two brothers, Patrick and Matthew, and one sister, Maria...accepted into Cormier Honors College at Longwood.
