Biography
2018: A hard-nosed, versatile midfielder who is equally adept on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball...relentless in pursuit of the ball...has a high motor and plays the game with a unabating physicality.
2017: Played a workhorse role in the midfield, starting all 21 games and logging 1,337 minutes on the pitch…named to the All-Big South honorable mention squad, the first all-conference accolade of her career…earned the Big South Commissioner’s Award for maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA for the 2017-18 academic year…a pacesetter for Longwood’s frontline who played at least 50 minutes in all but one game and surpassed the 70-minute plateau six times…scored two goals and dished one assist…first goal of the season was the game-winner in a 1-0 win over VMI (9/2)…also dished an assist on the game-tying goal in a 1-1 draw at Gardner-Webb…played a season-high 80 minutes in Longwood’s 2-0 upset of No. 2 seed Liberty in the semifinals of the Big South Championship…named to the Big South Presidential Honor Roll…also a Longwood Scholar-Athlete.
2016: Broke out as a sophomore, appearing in all 20 games while starting 17 and playing 1,254 minutes…scored two goals and dished two assists…placed 11 of 28 shots on goal, both of which ranked fourth on the team…had a career-high 96 minutes played against High Point (10/12)…scored twice in a 5-0 win over Gardner-Webb (09/24)…played at least 70 minutes in eight games, including six of her final eight contests…a Big South Presidential Honor Roll selection.
2015: Appeared in 18 games as a freshman with 610 minutes played… first collegiate goal came against VMI to secure a 3-0 victory for the Lancers (9/8)…took seven shots with six on goal…had two career-high games of 46 minutes played against American (8/21) and Virginia Tech (9/2)…played 30-plus minutes in 14 of her 18 games…a Big South Presidential Honor Roll selection.
High School: Four-year letterwinner at Midlothian High School…also a letterwinner in track and cross country…led Milothian to the 2014 Soccer Dominion District Championship…a second team all-district pick as a junior…named to the all-district first team in 2013 and the second team as a freshman…a three-time Dominion District All-Academic and Midlothian All-Academic pick…a member of the Virginia State Champion cross country team in 2011 and the Dominion District 4x4 Relay Championship team in 2013…member of the National Honor Society…volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
Personal: Born Kathryn Elizabeth Miller on Jan. 24, 1997…daughter of Tim and Michelle Miller…has a brother, Matthew…aunt, Blair Trail, played volleyball at Roanoke College.
