Biography

Head Coach Ali Wright: “Jessica has a strong will to shoot low scores.  It is evident that Jessica enjoys competing and performs well in pressure situations.  Consistency allowed Jessica to travel to every event this past fall and she has contributed low scores in key times at tournaments.  Jessica Williams has a natural ability around the greens and possesses good length.”

Fall 2007: Averaged career-best 79.92 through five tournaments and 12 rounds … Career-best 18-hole score (72) at William and Mary/Colonial Intercollegiate … Career-best 36-hole score of 150 (78-72) at Colonial Intercollegiate … Season-best 54-hole score of 241 (85-76-80) at Old Dominion/Lady Monarch Invitational … Earned one Top Five (T-4) finish among three Top 20 (T-4, T-12, T-14) efforts.

2006-07: Averaged 79.94 through 17 rounds … Season-best 18-hole score (75) at Elon/Sea Trail Intercollegiate … Season-best 36-hole score of 151 (75-76 at Sea Trail Intercollegiate … Career-best 54-hole score of 234 (78-77-79) at East Carolina/Lady Pirate Invitational … Earned two Top 10 (T-6, 7) finishes among three Top 20 (T-6, 7, T-14) efforts … Division I All-Independent Second-Team.

2005-06: Averaged 80.85 through 20 rounds … Career-best 18-hole score (72) at Western Carolina/Great Smokies Intercollegiate … Season-best 36-hole score of 151 at Great Smokies Intercollegiate (79-72) … Season-best 54-hole score of 235 (74-80-81) at East Carolina Intercollegiate … Earned one Top 20 (T-13) finish … Division I Independent All-Newcomer Team.

Junior/Amateur: 2005 Ohio Golf Course Owners Association (OGCOA) Point Winner … Finished third at the 2005 OGCOA State Qualifier.

High School: Played three years of golf at Johnstown-Monroe High School in Johnstown, Ohio … Three-time qualifier to both Sectional and District Tournaments … Team MVP as a sophomore … Coach’s Award as a freshman … Also participated in basketball for four years and soccer for one year … Team MVP and Conference Player of the Year in basketball, earning honorable mention All-State as a senior while leading team to a conference championship in basketball … Sixth Man Award as a sophomore.

Personal: Majors in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science … Father (Mike) played football at Marshall University … Daughter of Mike and Connie Williams.
