Ian Walker returns to his alma mater of Longwood University as an Athletic Trainer after graduating in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training. Walker oversees field hockey as well as men’s and women’s tennis.

During his time as an undergraduate student at Longwood, Walker worked with field hockey, men’s soccer, Hampden-Sydney lacrosse, General Medical and Prince Edward High School. Walker also helped with the men’s soccer camp in the summer of 2016 for head coach Jon Atkinson. In the classroom, Walker made the Dean’s List twice and was a member of the Longwood Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association Quiz Bowl Team.

Walker has spent time volunteering with the Richmond Marathon, a high school wrestling tournament, The Big Event, Relay for Life and Longwood Athletic Trainers’ Association Dog Walk. He is also CPR certified through the National Safety Council.
