Gabe Fajardo

Gabe Fajardo

Gabe Fajardo came to Longwood in the summer of 2023 following a standout career at Holy Cross College and begins his second season with the Lancers in 2024-25.

In his first season with the Lancers, Fajardo helped Longwood (8-8 overall) to its first Big South Conference tournament berth on the men's side since 2019.  He mentored both Alejandro Hernandez and Timeo Puech to all-Big South honors with Puech garnering first team singles and second-team doubles recognition and Hernandez picking up second-team singles and doubles plaudits.

During his time as a player at Holy Cross, an NAIA institution in Notre Dame, Ind., Fajardo helped lead the team transformation from one of the worst teams in the conference to winning the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference as a senior. While there, he played both singles and doubles.

In addition, he has volunteered his time as a tennis coach to help grow the game and find creative, fun ways for young players to develop skills.

Fajardo was named an Anchor Award Signature Scholar, the most prestigious merit award at Holy Cross. He was also a four-time dean's list honoree.

Fajardo holds his bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in business and is pursuing his MBA with a general business concentration at Longwood.
