Prior to Longwood: Anika Tylek comes to Longwood after a career at the junior level in her native Canada…reached a ranking as high as 858 in the Junior International Tennis Federation (ITF) standings…three-year member of the Honor Society and winner of the Mathematic Donor Award during her sophomore year.
Personal: Daughter of Wladyslaw and Danuta Tylek…younger brother Pascal (14) also plays tennis…both her parents were national champions in Poland for bowling in 1986…both competed in championships in 1986...plans to major in physics.
